Massage and Reflexology

Massage is a ‘hands on’ treatment that involves pressing, stroking and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body. It is one of the oldest, simplest and most commonly used forms of therapy, and there are a huge variety of styles and methods of treatment.
Massage works on the soft tissues, the muscles, tendons, and ligaments to improve muscle tone. Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the organs themselves.
As well as providing very effective relief for stress, anxiety etc., massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system thereby improving the nourishment of the body’s tissues and organs and facilitating the elimination of waste throughout the body.
