Piers Gardner

My primary job is currently as a disability adviser and educational support assistant at the University of Kent, where I have been for over 6 years. In this role I work with students with physical disabilities, medical conditions and those on the autism spectrum, which has given me a solid understanding of many diverse conditions and needs. I have been a Bowen practitioner since 2011, having come across Bowen in 2009, when I had treatment for a long standing back problem and migraines which multiple other therapies had failed to deal with in any lasting way.

I am an avid student of not only Bowen, but also integral anatomy, taking part in dissection and anatomy workshops at various London medical colleges. These courses continue to augment not only my knowledge of Bowen, but also the how and why body-work therapies work, as well as maintaining a constant thirst for further study and practice.

I have treated clients with a wide variety of conditions and complaints, including headaches, tinnitus, back pain, stress, depression and anxiety, reproductive issues, sports injuries, musculoskeletal problems, neuralgia, MS, and connective tissue diseases such as fibromyalgia, lupus, etc. The results of Bowen are most often very far reaching, creating change through deep tension relief, and having lasting implications for presenting conditions. Many of my clients are in medium to long term maintenance care, having a Bowen Session every one to three months. Symptoms aside, Bowen is simply a very pleasurable and relaxing therapy.

Do contact me if you wish to discuss treatment, or just to find out more about Bowen Therapy.
